Overhead crane is a kind of mechanical equipment, which is horizontally erected above workshops, warehouses and open stacking yards, and is used to lift various objects. It is usually called "crown block" or "traveling crane". It is a kind of lifting machinery widely used in machinery industry, metallurgy industry and chemical industry. In modern industrial enterprises, it is one of the important equipment to realize the mechanization and automation of production process, reduce heavy physical labor and improve production efficiency. The following matters should be paid attention to when using bridge crane:

1. The driving must be in normal condition, especially the devices, such as braking mechanism, sound and light, signal, interlocking device, etc., must be sensitive and intact.

2. During the working process, the operator should concentrate on idling before lifting, and then lifting. The lifted object should be 100 ~ 150mms above the ground. If it is found that the lifted object is not tightly bound, it should be re tied. The signal bell should be sent before driving; The lifted object shall not pass over the head. When the crown block starts, it is strictly prohibited to repair, inspect, refuel and wipe the machine parts. If a fault is found during operation, it must be stopped immediately.

3. When the work is terminated, stop the crown block on the parking line and lift the hook in place. No heavy objects shall be hung on the hook. Put all controllers and levers to the zero position, pull off the power switch, and lock the cab door.

4. The bridge crane must be equipped with reliable and sensitive devices. Generally, there are buffers, limiters (travel limiters, lifting limiters), lifting limiters, wind proof rail clamping pliers, etc.

5. The shells of all live parts of the crane shall be reliably grounded to avoid accidental electric shock accidents of operators. When the trolley track is not welded on the main beam, it should also be grounded by welding, and the step-down transformer should be grounded on the low-voltage side as required.

6. The bridge crane shall not be lifted under the following conditions;

(1) There is no command or the command signal is incorrect.

(2) The running equipment is defective or the device fails.

(3) Overloaded lifting or unclear equipment quality.

(4) Stand on or under the lifting object and use the crane hook to lift people.

(5) The light is dark and you can't see clearly.

(6) The lifting objects have sharp edges and corners or are inclined to pull and lift, and no measures are taken.
